Buyer payments are held in escrow and are scheduled for release at 12:00 noon WAT on the day after the event starts, provided there is no unresolved dispute on the transaction. A buyer who has got into the event may confirm this in their purchase page to release the payment to the seller sooner.

Ventril may delay or suspend escrow release where fraud, ticket validity issues, payout failures, or compliance concerns are detected.

A buyer must raise any dispute within the dispute window, which opens when the event starts and closes at 12:00 noon WAT on the day after the event starts. If no dispute is raised before the window closes, or if the buyer confirms they got into the event, the buyer loses the right to challenge that transaction through Ventril.

Disputes must include evidence. Ventril may reject incomplete, abusive, or fraudulent claims.

Sellers must not list fake tickets, duplicate tickets, or already-used tickets. Each listing is for one ticket. Ventril may remove prohibited listings without notice.

Listings may also be removed where event details, receipts, or ticket files appear misleading, unverifiable, or inconsistent.

Ventril charges a 12% platform fee on each resale, with a minimum fee of ₦150. Sellers can choose whether the fee is added on top for the buyer or deducted from the seller's payout at listing time.

Where an organizer is claimed on Ventril, 5% of the asking price may be paid to the organizer from the 12% platform fee; Ventril retains the other 7% before costs.

Tickets marked "Sold by Ventril" are sold by Ventril itself. No platform fee is charged on them, the ticket is available as soon as payment is confirmed, and the buyer may raise a dispute within the usual dispute window. If the dispute is upheld, Ventril refunds the buyer in full.

A buyer may offer a price below a listing's asking price. Making an offer costs nothing and is not a purchase. The seller may accept or decline; an offer the seller does not answer expires after 24 hours or shortly before the event, whichever is sooner.

If the seller accepts, the buyer has a limited time, shown at acceptance, to pay the offered price. Acceptance does not reserve the ticket: until the buyer pays, the listing remains on sale at the asking price and another buyer paying that price may buy it first. Once paid, the purchase is covered by the same escrow, fee and dispute rules as any other sale, with the fee calculated on the offered price.

Buyers who repeatedly let accepted offers expire without paying may lose the ability to make offers.

Ventril may suspend or permanently disable accounts involved in fraud, abusive behavior, fake listings, off-platform deal steering, repeat disputes, chargebacks, or policy breaches.

Suspended users may lose access to listings, payouts, messaging, and future use of the marketplace.
